Hi, my name is Duncan II!
Senior Large Male
Australian Kelpie / Weimaraner / Mixed
Meet Duncan! This guy is a stunning sable-colored mix that's eager to please and loves to play fetch – a tennis ball ROCKS his world! He also loves stuffed toys, and doesn't tear them to pieces.
Duncan is a very smart pup, and is responding positively to training and routine. He walks extremely well on a leash, and did we mention, he loves to play fetch? 🙂 He has spent time with a trainer to help with basic manners, and he is a sweet, calmer older boy. He'll be an extremely loyal and bonded companion when he finds his forever family.
He will do best in a home without small children or cats, but he does well with other dogs when introduced properly! He doesn’t have an interest in other dogs so he would thrive if he was the only dog in the house.
If you'd like a great sidekick, apply to adopt Duncan!
Duncan is available for pre-adoption only at this time, as he is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is a non-contagious and treatable condition in dogs, but is fatal if left untreated. For more information about the spread, treatment, and prevention of heartworms visit: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/dog-care/heartworm
