Riot is 5 years young and is the perfect blend of cuddly lovebug and outdoor enthusiast. He’s a hound mix and weighs about 40lbs, the ideal size for both cozy snuggles and backyard fetch. He’s a self-declared lap dog who loves a good Netflix binge but also loves outdoor adventure with his person.
Riot can be a little shy around new people and nervous around loud noises but when comfortable at home around his people his personality is fun, social, and loving! Due to loud noises that his human toddler siblings make, he’s finding our home a little too overwhelming. While gentle with kids, he finds them nerve-wracking. Hence, he’s seeking a calm and predictable home environment so he can relax and let his guard down.
Riot is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations and meds. He’d prefer to be an only child as he’s picky with his dog friends, but can be socialized with calm, passive, relaxed dogs. (No info on how he does with cats). He may be wary of thunder and loud noises, but we have some helpful meds to keep him calm during stormy weather and other stressful events.
While Riot is crate-trained, he prefers not to be left alone for more than a few hours at a time. He’s already housebroken, knows basic commands and would easily pick up more with additional training. With a predictable and calm environment, Riot is sure to thrive and become your most loyal friend.
