DPA’s Pawsome People: September 2019 Foster Spotlight

“Allee is one of those golden fosters who is continuously amazing the DPA team! Her Facebook posts about her fosters are always hysterically viral worthy. Between the hilarious captions and personalities she brings to life, Allee is able to bring adopters swarming DPA to get their hands on cats, that in other homes or shelters would have never had a chance.
Allee doesn’t back down from a medical challenge like ringworm or behavior issues like a feral mama and a naughty kitten, both appropriately named Impurrator Furryosa and Flerken (aka Mr. Murder Mittens).
Keep on making us all laugh, cry and rejoice with all these happy tails, Allee—you are truly PAWSOME!”

“Danica has taken on her role as Foster Director with such a fresh and positive approach. Danica has been working to improve and streamline processes, engage and support fosters at a higher level, and always does so with a calm, compassionate and objective approach. Danica has taken time away from her family and personal life to attend two Maddie’s Fund Apprenticeships to deepen her knowledge and gain new ideas about building foster programs, returning with wisdom to share with DPA so we are always continuously improving. Danica collaborates closely with the Rescue, Adoption, Alumni and Transport teams and is always a great partner open to new ideas and approaches to increase our life-saving and support our foster network’s needs.” -Andra Adams, DPA’s VP of Animal Operations

“Kyle went above and beyond for DPA! this year leading and coordinating one of our largest events, QuakeCon. Kyle TRIPLED our revenue from this event this year! Kyle’s love for DPA! and gaming can be seen in the growth of this event over the years. He worked hard to develop relationships with the companies that put on QC, which lead to the huge turn out of donations this year. Because of Kyle’s dedication we have a very special partnership with two huge companies and we gained exposure to millions of animal lovers. Thank you Kyle for all that you do for DPA! and the animals we serve!” -Leslie Sans, DPA!’s Executive Director
DPA!’s Pawsome People: August 2019 Foster Spotlight

“Andrea is one of those magical humans whose heart is bigger than Texas. She takes on the most vulnerable population of dogs in any shelter—litters of puppies. Everyone likes puppies…it’s common for people to request just the cute, super adoptable puppies without a thought for mom. Leaving a mama behind would never cross her mind, she always takes mama. She makes sure mama is a pampered, pretty princess during her stay with the Nida family and wants for nothing…”

“DPA is lucky to have Peter Baldwin and his family as one of our most long time donors and supporters. Peter challenges and supports our board discussion with well-thought out and purposeful questions and considerations. I value and appreciate his perspective on our non-profit business. Peter and his wife, Amy, lead by example and truly are one of the most compassionate and giving couples in the DPA! family. We would not be where we are today without the Baldwins.” -Leslie Sans, DPA!’s Executive Director
