Maji is a high-energy, highly vocal cat who always has something to say. If you’re looking for a quiet lap cat, he’s not your guy—but if you appreciate a cat with opinions, presence, and a lot of spirit, Maji will definitely keep life interesting.
He thrives on attention and interaction. Maji will let you know when he wants engagement—starting with persistent meowing, and if ignored, he escalates to nipping or biting. He can also become overstimulated during certain situations, which has led to harder bites in the past. Because of this, he’ll need an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and is committed to working with him patiently and consistently.
Maji would likely benefit from a home with another confident, playful cat companion to help match his energy. He needs regular, structured playtime to stay happy and balanced. His favorite activities include wand toys, chasing a laser pointer, and watching bubbles—those are guaranteed wins. He’s not interested in most battery-powered toys and tends to lose interest quickly. When left alone, he’ll occasionally watch cat TV for entertainment.
He is not a snuggler, but he does like being involved in whatever you’re doing—especially if you work from home. Expect him to stroll across your keyboard or insert himself into your day when he wants attention.
Maji should not go to a home with children due to his play aggression and tendency to bite. He would do best in a calm, structured environment with someone who has experience handling strong-willed or high-energy cats and can provide both enrichment and boundaries.
Maji is currently on Prozac to help manage his behavior and reactivity, and he has shown small improvements with this support. His future owner should be open to continuing veterinary care and discussing whether to maintain or adjust this treatment as needed.
