Meet Doug, a handsome, affectionate guy who truly believes life is better with a toy in his mouth and his favorite human close by. Sweet and gentle by nature, Doug loves following his person from room to room and being near whenever possible. He has an easy, loving presence that makes him feel like he’s always belonged.
Doug is fantastic on a leash with no pulling and no reactivity to other dogs on walks. He’s even proven himself to be a great running buddy and can comfortably keep pace on runs up to two miles. When playtime rolls around, fetch is his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily keep the game going as long as you’re willing. Toys are a must, and you’ll often find him proudly carrying one around wherever he goes.
He’s dog-friendly and has done wonderfully playing tug-of-war with a medium-sized female dog. Doug is fully potty trained and has never chewed or destroyed anything in his foster home. While he does have some mild crate anxiety, he’s making progress and will thrive with continued patience and positive reinforcement.
