Meet Biscuit II (New Digs)!

Meet the beautiful blondie, Biscuit II. She is a 1-year-old, 60-pound golden lab. Bis is potty-trained, crate-trained, excellent on leash, very dog friendly, and loves people who pet her.

Biscuit was one of our foster pups and was lucky enough to find a family with young kids whom she adored. She loved playing with them so much that she sometimes used her mouth a little too enthusiastically to herd them, which the parents thought was cute at first. Unfortunately, during one of these playful moments, she accidentally bit the 3-year-old. The family insists it was just a misunderstanding and done in play, but they ultimately decided it was best for everyone to rehome her. The family preferred not to report the bite, so they reached out to us for help as the former foster. We happily took her back, adopted her, and transferred her microchip to ensure she was safe. She did great in quarantine and is making fantastic progress with her training. We believe her ideal home would be without small children, and it would be wonderful if she had at least one friendly dog to play with—this way, she can focus her energy on playful doggie antics rather than mouthing her human friends.

As for why we’re looking to rehome Biscuit: As much as we love having her, we already have four resident dogs and enjoy fostering 1-2 pups at a time throughout the year. We’ve successfully fostered and found homes for over 25 dogs in 2024 alone! With five dogs, it’s a bit tricky for us to continue our fostering work, which is something we’re really passionate about.

Biscuit has a moderate activity level and loves to play, go on walks, and enjoy frolicking about. She’s a champ in her crate and can handle being crated for over eight hours without any fuss—she just snoozes until her people come back.

What Biscuit really is dreaming of is a home where everyone is over five years old and can give her clear boundaries and lots of love. If there’s another fun-loving dog around, that would be perfect to help her burn off some of that playful energy! She would absolutely thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of affection, treats, indoor and outdoor time, and of course, lots of belly rubs—her absolute favorite!
