Meet Ellie, your loyal, ball-obsessed best friend 🐾
Ellie is an 8-year-old Aussie mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She recently returned to DPA through our Dogs Matter program after her owner made the difficult decision to help her find the right long-term home.
Ellie is incredibly loyal and loves being near her person. She’s a “shadow dog” who will happily follow you around and soak up attention. Her favorite thing in the world is fetch, and with 30–60 minutes of play each day, she’s perfectly content to relax and hang out.
She gets along well with other dogs but prefers to keep her toys to herself and would rather play with her human. Ellie would do best in a quieter home without young kids or a lot of foot traffic.
She is crate and potty trained and does well with structure. She can be a bit vocal and mischievous if left out alone, so a home that can provide routine and patience will help her thrive.
