Hi, my name is Alpine!
Adult Large Male
Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed
Meet Alpine! This gentle giant is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, who came into a local shelter surrendered by his owner. He appears to have been abused in the past, but he’s learning to trust again in a loving foster home, while he awaits his new family!
Alpine is a hug-loving pup who prefers to play with humans, rather than toys. Even though he’s had a rough past, it doesn’t stop him from displaying his gentle nature. Alpine is a friendly, intelligent, calm, and loving pup. He is affectionate and loves to be brushed!
Alpine has a nice medium activity level, but he does love to run around outside – and he seems to prefer a cooler outdoor environment. Alpine is leash, crate, and house trained. He also knows basic commands and is good with dogs, cats, and kids.
Alpine would do great in any loving and safe home willing to build up love and trust. He would love to be a family pet or solo companion, and would be ecstatic to have a backyard to romp around in.
