Transformation stories

JD

9 year old JD was surrendered to the shelter after his humans split up. His foster mom saw our urgent foster post and she couldn’t believe his story. It motivated her to take action and step up to foster JD. We were able to get JD out of the shelter in 24 hours!

In foster care, JD received treatment for pressure sores. JD was noted to have some ataxia and muscle atrophy with the back legs, which could be attributed to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). Meanwhile, JD was having the time of his life with his best friend, foster brother, Chicken Nugget! They loved keeping each other company while JD was waiting for a home of his own.

JD’s story caught the eye of many, including his future family who had been following his story on Facebook. They drove nearly 3 hours to come meet him at the Adoption Container, adopt him onsite and take him home!
