Meet the handsome pup, Gonzo!
He is a 4-year-old, approximately 70-lb German Shepherd–Husky mix, with a sweet personality and great manners. Gonzo was adopted as a rescue and has grown into a loving, loyal companion despite not being with his family from birth.
Gonzo is a playful, medium-to-high energy pup who loves to play, explore, and spend quality time with his people. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his goofy and affectionate personality shines through. He enjoys playtime and happily shows off his fun, silly side.
He gets along well with other dogs. He is very shy at first but warms up nicely. He does great with proper introductions and boundaries. Gonzo enjoys being part of a pack but also loves his one-on-one time.
Gonzo likes to cuddle up with his humans and leans in close for pets, belly rubs, and quiet companionship. He’s happiest when he’s near the people he trusts.
An ideal home for Gonzo would be one that is patient, loving, and able to give him time to adjust, with people who understand large breeds and enjoy an active but affectionate dog.
Gonzo is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and he knows basic commands. He’s also working on continuing to build confidence in new environments. Gonzo enjoys special treats, routine, and being included in daily activities—and he’s always up for learning more. He is one smart pup!
