Little Derby is as sweet as a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. He was rescued from the shelter at 7 weeks old with severe URI symptoms, infections of both eyes, and underweight but that did not stop him from immediately purring and sharing his sweet personality from the start. Our wonderful vet team is watching his eyes closely and we are expecting him to lose at least one eye, possibly both. He has been the best little patient and the vet office loves him! But he is adjusting just fine and it does not seem to affect him. He’s just like any average kitten his age!
After settling in for a few days it was clear that this little guy was fearless and continued to climb, explore, and jump off anything he could get to.
He is fully litter box trained. He loves a snooze in a soft dark place, but when he wakes up it is time to eat and play! He’s loves anything that makes sounds – right now he loves a ball with a jingle bell in it. I hear him playing with it several times a day and he loves it when I roll it for him. Like most cats anything is a toy and it’s so fun to see him take in the world around him and enough the little things like a box or a toothbrush he knocked off the counter.
He is sure to be a dapper, sweet, loving boy to whoever is lucky enough to add him to their family.
