Ciabatta I

Age: Senior
Breed: Terrier, Jack Russell
Gender: Male

Meet Ciabatta I!

Ciabatta is up for whatever adventure the day may bring, whether that’s joining you on a hike or run, or a movie marathon cuddling on the couch. A sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix, he does well with babies and children of all ages, as well as with other dogs. He does not get along with cats, as he is determined to play with them, but the cat usually takes his attempts as trying to eat them.

Ciabatta is house trained, loves beef flavored food and chasing his tail, and is overall a great dog in need of a loving family. He is about 10 years old now, although his exact age is unknown due to him being passed around through several animal shelters before finally being adopted in 2019. The story of how he got the scarring around his snout was lost somewhere along the line, his current vet suspects it could have been zip ties used to hold his mouth shut. He didn’t bark at all for about 2 years after being adopted, but did eventually bark again and learn it was safe to do. He is still a pretty quiet pup, but will speak up and bark outside which is so good to hear. Ciabatta is a great mid size pup, about 25 lbs.

Ciabatta does very well with a yard to run around and get his energy out. He would do well with someone who Works from Home, or is a Stay at Home Parent, as his nervous bladder shows up with his separation anxiety. He does pretty well with a pee mat on the floor inside, but additional training and support in this area would be helpful. He does well on a leash with his harness, and is always up for a walk or new adventure!

Ciabatta deserves to be part of a home where he is loved and appreciated rather than just tolerated. I am stretched too thin to provide this, through no fault of Ciabatta! He is a great dog with so much love to give and is always up for cuddles. Apply to adopt Ciabatta today!
