“Three legs, full heart, can’t lose!”
Meet Basil – your newest little sidekick.
At less than a year old, miss Basil has already had a rough go of it. She was found as a stray after likely being hit by a car. She had a fractured femur, dislocated hip, skin injuries, and was on the euthanasia list due to her extensive medical needs. Despite her injuries, the shelter could tell Basil had the most joyful and hopeful personality. It was obvious that Basil just needed a little TLC and a soft place to land, and she could still live a full and happy life.
Basil had her broken leg amputated, which hasn’t slowed her down one bit. She is freer than ever as a tri-pawd. Now that she is recovering, her personality is shining even brighter. She has never known a stranger, and is always looking to meet her new best friend around every corner. She deserves attention, and she knows it. Be prepared to have her in your lap as soon as you sit down.
As equal as she is lovable, she is curious. She does great in new environments and is very inquisitive of her surroundings. She’s adventurous and active, but only for short periods. She knows when to settle and loves to snuggle up on the couch to watch a good movie. She’s happy to play independently with soft toys, and likes to carry around a stuffed animal wherever she goes.
If you’re after a sweet pup with a heart of gold, Basil’s your girl. She’s recovering patiently and knows her future family is out there looking for her too.
