Get ready to connect, celebrate, and support the amazing world of fostering at this fun-filled community bash!
Have you ever been curious about fostering but felt a little nervous about what it’s actually like? Foster Fest is the perfect chance to learn more in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Join Dallas Pets Alive and our shelter partners for an afternoon all about fostering. You’ll be able to meet animals who are ready to go into foster homes, talk with experienced volunteers, and learn what fostering really looks like day to day. Our goal is to make it easy for anyone interested in helping animals to take that first step.
Why attend Foster Fest?
- Learn what fostering is really like and get tips from experienced fosters
- Meet dogs and cats who are ready to go into foster homes
- Pick up supplies like food, toys, and other basics to help you get started
- Ask questions and connect with local rescue partners
There is no pressure to foster on the spot. If you want to take time to think about it, that is completely fine. If you do decide you’re ready, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up and even leave with a foster pet the same day.
If you sign up to foster at the event:
- Beer token

If you leave with a foster pet:
- $25 Amazon gift card to help with supplies
- DPA and Community Beer Co. goody bag and coupons
- Starter supplies for your foster pet
Throughout the event, DPA volunteers will be available to answer questions and share resources about fostering and animal welfare in our community.
