Dogs Matter Receives $4,500 Grant from Byrne Family Foundation Trust to Expand Aftercare Program

DALLAS, TX July 2025 – Dogs Matter is proud to announce it has been awarded a $4,500 Fast Track grant from the Byrne Family Foundation Trust (BFFT) to support the expansion of its life saving Aftercare Program. This timely grant will directly impact the organization’s ability to provide continued care and support to clients and their pets after treatment and recovery, furthering its mission to keep families, human and animal together.

The Aftercare Program is a vital component of Dogs Matter’s services, providing a bridge to long term stability for clients in recovery by offering critical resources such as transportation, housing support, pet care supplies, and counseling. The Fast Track grant will help expand these services to more individuals in need across Dallas County.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Byrne Family Foundation Trust for their generous support and belief in our mission,” said Stephen Knight, Executive Director of Dogs Matter. “This funding comes at a critical time and will allow us to reach more clients and ensure that no one has to choose between sobriety and their best friend.”

The Byrne Family Foundation Trust’s Fast Track grant program provides rapid response funding to nonprofits in Dallas County and Park Cities, prioritizing organizations with urgent, short term needs that promote educational growth or animal welfare. Dogs Matter is honored to be recognized among the nonprofits serving our community through compassionate, responsive programming.
