Leonard is a smart and people loving, a great dog needing attention and included in family life. Completely potty trained, crate trained, walking on leash (never pulls stays by your side) and loves his toys. He is UTD on shots, neutered, and microchipped. Gets along fabulously with other dogs, they are the boss as he sits back and lets them do first. So gently takes treats from your fingers, sits by your side in case you want to pet him, isn’t pushy, watches tv, looks out windows, very calm in the house.
There is one drawback and the reason he is available. I am 82, have a very large yard where he can clear the 4′ cyclone fence like a horse. I have tried to extend my fence with hogwire but it hasn’t worked. He needs a taller fence and/or a stockade fence. I have stopped the jumping by his wearing a cone when in the backyard with hopes he will forget about jumping. He learns things very quickly and is easily corrected on everything else but it has been a hassle with the jumping. He doesn’t go roam the neighborhood, just comes to the front porch to be let in.
He is the most mannerly dog I have ever had the pleasure to share time with but I can’t afford to re-fence my yard and I do have 2 other dogs, which he gets along with fabulously, a great Dane and a Border Collie.
