Hi, I’m Mello! At 5 years old and 65 pounds, I’m an energetic and loving male labrador mix! I am fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.
I’m looking for my forever home (or foster-fail!). In my first home, my mom sure did love me a lot, but I didn’t have a lot of time to play or get my energy out. A few not-so-nice people also came into my space a couple times and hurt me. But I recovered great & after that, I moved in with my great grandma for a couple months before I got adopted into a sober living community (I’m even a certified ESA animal). Everyone hoped that would work out great, but alas, the landlord decided pets were not allowed. Then I wound up at DSA! The lady who helped get me in to my last home is now helping me get into my forever home!
The best situation for me would be an adult-only home (please give me time to get to feel comfortable with new people) and I really like being the center of attention so please let me be your only pet! I will love going on long walks with you (I am learning to walk on a leash and not pull- I’m pretty strong) and play tug-of-war & fetch. But my very favorite thing to do is cuddle with you on the couch & sleep next to you at night! Please help me find my forever home, be loved, and feel safe. I can’t wait to join your family!
