Meet Dude II (New Digs)!

Meet Dude!
Last week, while driving down the street, I saw an adorable dog running by. Not wanting him to get hit, I pulled over and beckoned him to me – not necessarily expecting him to come over. This guy surprised me, though, and made a beeline toward my car and hopped in as though we were old friends. He looked at me expectantly as if to say “Ok partner – where we heading next!?” Due to his personality, started calling him Dude and he answers to this name.

I am a full-time stage management major at the University of Houston and cannot keep him. I wish I could – he is the sweetest!
I have gotten him vaccinated, chipped, flea-treated and neutered. He is heartworm positive but is currently under treatment for that and with the support of my parents, I am going to pay until treatment is done. He is about 1-2 years old and 70 pounds. He is a mix, but he looks a lot like a Black Mouth Cur.

He spent his first night with a professor at UH. He did great with her dogs. He spent the day in the university’s administrative offices, where he was friendly and relaxed with all the new people. He has not had an accident in the house, so is potty trained and follows basic commands. He is a young dog and still needs more training, but responds well to it with the help of squeeze cheese. I would also like to give the new owners his crate and all supplies and toys.

Again – this guy is GREAT! Friendly, fun, polite, and perfect as a family dog. I know there are a lot of homeless animals out there right now, and I hate that, but Dude would be a wonderful addition to so many families. Please help me find the perfect home for my guy. I’ve grown attached because he is the best, but he can definitely be the best dog for YOU! Adopt Dude today!
