Ruff Life: Sweet Lou Goes From Hopeless to Happy with Hospice Fosters

In December of 2015, the Igo family took in cairn terrior Louie as a hospice foster. With an extensive list of medical issues, the senior dog was not expected to live more than a few days later.

Nine months later, Lou is still enjoying his time out of the shelter with his new family. “He’s got a pep in his step,” Ashley Igo said. “I didn’t think he had more than a day or two to live… but he has played a joke on all of us.”

Lou with stay with the Igos until the end with all medical costs taken care of by Dallas Pets Alive! No matter when that is, we are humbled to know he will be surrounded by love.
