Meet Sam III: Your Future Best Friend

Sam is a charming 4-year-old male dog who is ready to find his forever home. This sweet boy has shown he’s got great social skills, getting along well with both cats and dogs. He’s calmly observed the resident cat without any issues and lives with two other dogs -one a playful puppy and the other an adult border collie-with no problems at all.

Sam’s past is a testament to his resilience and loving spirit. Found wandering the streets with a dog food container lid stuck around his neck, he was in desperate need of help. After being rescued, he faced several health challenges, including heartworm, an ear infection, and multiple injuries. Thankfully, with the support of the community, he was rescued from euthanasia and is now on the mend. Despite his rough start, Sam is an affectionate soul who craves cuddles and companionship. He may be a bit shy with new people, but once he warms up, his wiggly, loving personality shines through.

Despite his past, he’s already showing signs of his playful side-anticipating the zoomies he’ll unleash once he’s fully recovered. He’s highly motivated by treats, especially chicken jerky, which makes training sessions a delight! Ideally, Sam would thrive in a loving home where he can continue his journey surrounded by companionship and lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion who will be your professional human cuddler, Sam is ready to bring joy and love into your life!
