Meet Saint! The 2.5 yr old, 80-pound, rambunctious bowling ball aka American Pit Bull Terrier! He was found wandering in a field, sick, skin and bones and taken in by the Garland Animal Shelter. He recovered and was waiting for someone to see the sparkle in his honey-golden-brown eyes. Since being adopted from the shelter, he’s had regular vet visits, is up to date on all his vaccinations and is on a monthly flea, tick, and heartworm regimen. As part of his adoption agreement, he’s been neutered and microchipped.
Saint loves the outdoors, running into you like a bowling ball (hence the nickname) and squeaker toys are his favorite! He’s good with children and other dogs in a controlled environment, but cats have yet to win his heart. If Saint could have it his way, he’d be outdoors, running free and expending all his energy rolling around in the grass. He’s the biggest cuddle bug and will keep you cozy and warm and hydrated with plenty of face licks.
Saint is house trained, crate trained and likes to take his humans on walks (he could use a little leash encouragement) and also why a backyard would be ideal. Saint knows how to sit, share his paws and wait for his human when asked. I am a cancer survivor, and my treatment plan will continue for the next 5-10 years. The side effects from my treatment come with limitations to my health that keep me from being able to provide Saint with the exercise and playtime he deserves and loves. He’s been the best emotional support house hippo anyone could ask for and I know he will be the best addition to an equally energetic and loving household. Apply to adopt Saint today!
