Lila is a sweet, affectionate young cat who has been through a lot in her short life. She was found wounded and hiding near a feral cat colony after an encounter with a dog left her with a serious leg injury. A rescuer stepped in to help, and Lila ultimately underwent surgery to amputate the injured leg.
Now safely in foster care, Lila is recovering well, and her personality is starting to shine. As she’s healed, her energy and playfulness have increased. She enjoys her morning zoomies, playing with her little mouse and crinkly toys, and then settling in for a nap near her foster while they work.
Her foster describes Lila as incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves attention and being petted and will happily “talk” with adorable little chirps. She’s also comfortable approaching other cats and has become especially friendly with her foster’s male cat.
Because of her history and recent surgery, Lila is looking for an indoor-only, dog-free home without small children who may accidentally be too rough with her. She is litter box and scratching post trained and has adapted to life on three legs.
After everything she’s experienced, Lila seems happiest simply being loved and spending time with her people. She’s sweet, silly, affectionate, and ready for a safe home to call her own.
