Lagos (New Digs)

Age: Adult
Breed: Bichon Frise
Gender: Male

Meet Lagos (New Digs)!

Lagos is playful, cute, and ready to be showered with attention! He is an adorable 11-pound, white and fluffy 3-year-old Bichon Frise. He has been in the same household since he was 12 weeks. Still, unfortunately due to lifestyle changes of the owner, he is not able to fully get the attention and physical activity he absolutely deserves. He is groomed monthly, micro-chipped, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and takes monthly flea and heartworm prevention medication.

He loves his squeaky toys, playing catch (he could do this all day), chewing dog bones, and his owner saying his name in a high-pitched voice. He eats FreshPet brand dog food, drinks filtered water, and his favorite foods are salmon, chicken liver, and ground turkey. He is very playful and can be energetic, but quick to tire himself out. He enjoys being outside and sniffing the air. He feeds off the energy of those around him, so if people are playful and energetic then he will want to play. If those around him are sitting and preoccupied then he will lay around and wait (or try to sneak for head rubs). He is good with dogs, very good with children, but cats are unknown. He wants a lot of attention and desires it. He will follow you around everywhere. If you close the door, he will sit in front of the door until you open it. If he is napping and you get up, he will wake up and follow you. He loves to go outside. He will sniff the door cracks to smell the air and he will stare out the window. He loves children, loves to play with other dogs, and loves cuddling (he likes to be held and cuddled like a baby and will fall asleep in that position).

Lagos is crate-trained, leash-trained, and puppy pad-trained. He will go outside, but has not been fully trained to go outside as he was living in an apartment and became used to the puppy pad. If he is taken for walks or taken outside he will go potty, but he is used to a puppy pad and always having access to a potty pad. When he comes to a new environment he will mark and he did this in the new apartment, but once you tell him “NO” or “EH EH” he knows and stops and has been fine since he has been used to the place. He is very sensitive, so yelling at him will make him sad. He knows his name, knows to sit, knows the command “NO” or “EH-EH”, and the command “come”.

He is genuinely a great and easy dog, but rehoming is due to giving him the lifestyle he deserves. He doesn’t get the amount of attention he deserves, he doesn’t get the walks he needs, and he doesn’t get to go outside as much as he would like. The ideal home would be someone who can genuinely love him and give him a lot of attention, having a backyard would be preferred as he loves access to being outside, giving him daily walks, keeping him groomed as he is used to being groomed, and feed him his current foods as he hates kibble.

Lagos is genuinely so sweet and just wants to share his love. He is playful, kind, and ready for cuddles. Apply to adopt Lagos today!
