Meet Beethoven I (New Digs)!

Meet the Máster of the House – Beethoven. He is a 10 yr old, 64 pound, Lab Mix who only wants to have a tummy rub and be your favorite pet. Beethoven was found roaming the streets of Dallas as a young puppy. He found himself at Dallas Animal Services where Dallas Pets Alive stepped in to rescue him and find his forever home. As his foster, I decided to adopt him two weeks later and he’s been my loyal companion for 9.5 years. Beethoven really had found a forever home until Mom got a job in Arlington, Virginia. Although Mom was prepared to take Beethoven on a cross-country car ride, the home owners where mommy is trying to live don’t allow big dogs only 1 or 2 small ones less than 20 pounds. The whole family is so sad that we have to separate.

Beethoven is a playful pup who loves to sunbathe in the backyard, snack on healthy treats and be loved on. He will instantly drop at your feet and roll to get a good tummy rub for hours. He gets along with other dogs and currently lived with three other dogs. His relationship with other dogs is more “live and let live.” He didn’t mess with them and he didn’t like to be bothered either. Beethoven does like to cuddle up with humans including children and will jump up in your lap if allowed. He is really too big and strong to be a lap dog though. He doesn’t really know he’s made of lean muscle that makes him extra strong and he can knock you or a child over when he’s overexcited and playing. An ideal home for Beethoven would be one with a doggie door and backyard because he’s perfectly trained to take care of business outside.

He is crate/leash/house trained and knows basic commands like go to your crate. He is one smart pup! Beethoven prefers to lay on a front lawn and watch the world go by rather than a long walk but he is fine on a leash.

This loving, loyal pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Beethoven today.
