Beaux (New Digs)

Age: Adult
Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier
Gender: Male

Meet Beaux (New Digs)!

Meet Beaux! He’s an energetic, happy-go-lucky Pit Bull Terrier mix who loves to play, run, and snuggle in his “Beauxrito” tortilla blankie. He is about 4.5 years old and weighs 56 pounds! Beaux has a gorgeous brown brindle coat, big, sweet brown eyes, and the most floppy, soft ears that stand up and make him look like a little goblin!

He came to us from an unsafe home situation and had been with other dogs who were aggressive, leaving our sweet boy with anxiety and reactivity. Since coming to us, he has learned TRUE love and has made some amazing strides in overcoming his traumatic past. He’s happy, healthy, neutered, and microchipped, and has recently been vetted to receive all of his yearly vaccinations and immunizations. He also has a prescription for Fluoxetine to help him with his generalized anxiety, which he’s happy to take wrapped in a little piece of meat!

Beaux is a really great companion dog and simply wants to be by your side at all times! He loves to go on car rides and the occasional trip to PetSmart! Walks around the neighborhood or park are great, and wearing his harness helps a lot with his leash excitement. When on his walks, he may get excited to see other dogs, so moving him to the other side of the street or turning the corner is normally the trick to get him calm again! Beaux is extremely loyal and protective of his person, so he just wants to say hi and make sure everyone knows you’re his mom/dad!

Having a backyard is a plus, as he loves to run laps and roll around/sunbathe in the grass when it’s warm out. His ideal home would be one where he would be the baby! Beaux loves being the center of attention, and no other cats, dogs (due to his previous home situation), or kiddos would be ideal. He’s a very human-social dog, and is always excited to get extra attention, scratches, and pets when guests come! His snuggles are Grade-A; he makes the best little spoon and will always allow his face to be peppered with kisses, as well as scratches behind his ears/the back of his neck.

Mister Beaux-Beaux is housebroken, and he only ever has anxiety-related accidents in the house, which has been rare. He is also crate-trained and will be happy to spend time in there if it’s cozy/covered to make a little den. He currently doesn’t use his crate, but always knows what it is and is never hesitant to go inside. He doesn’t know any special tricks, but he DOES know specific words! His favorites are “handsome,” “snuggle,” “road trip,” and of course “good boy!” Beaux responds well to normal speaking tone, but will occasionally choose not to respond if he’s too excited, or focused on something that he likes/wants.

Beaux is an AMAZING dog and has shown us so much loyalty, as well as the truest form of unconditional love that you can find, and we are heartbroken that we can’t keep him. He’s ready for a loving owner to share his days with, and who can fill his snuggle cup!
