Astra is believed to be around 4 years old, and was an owner surrender, with 2 other siblings….
Astra is making lots of progress, on her own time, in her foster home and slowly learning again, how to be loved and adapt to her new, nurturing environment.
Astra is a mix of sweet, timid, and silly–all pretty much resembling a typical GSD! She will do a happy dance to welcome you home, head tilts at silly noises, (but is shy of loud noises) knows basic commands very well, and will even bring you her leash in her mouth for walks!
Astra isn’t crazy about her crate, and prefers to sleep on a dog bed, or sofa. If there are other kids and/or pets in the home, it is recommended that slow, monitored introductions are done, til she is comfortable and confident.
Astra’s ideal home would be best suited to someone who does have prior GSD experience, but is not necessary. Astra has so much potential with how quick she learns things-and would absolutely thrive at beginners and advanced dog training, agility courses, or anything activity that will keep her constantly learning!
