We understand that giving up your pet is a difficult decision and appreciate that you want to try and keep your dog or cat out of a shelter. Before you rehome your pet, here are a few options to consider:

Financial Difficulties

We all go through hard times and understand that money can be tight. Don’t Forget to Feed Me Pet Food Bank distributes donated pet food to local food pantries and organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Medical Care

There are also several organizations in the area that offer low-cost veterinary services to help families who are struggling financially to care for their pets.

Assistance Keeping Your Pet

Do you want to keep your pet but need help? If you live in the city of Dallas or adopted your dog or cat from Dallas Animal Services, we may be able to help you with the following:

  • Behavior training
  • Medical care
  • Short term housing
  • Other issues
