DPA’s Pawsome People: January 2022 Volunteer Spotlight

Cagney has been volunteering with DPA on the Alumni team for two years now. She helps by manning our Alumni inbox and is always happy to help with whatever the team needs assistance on. She is amazing at organizing our inbox and answering emails to difficult situations when needed. She has helped keep animals in their adopted homes. We’re thankful for her help when we know it’s tiring times with her being a medical professional outside of volunteering. Thank you for all you do!”

-Stacey D., DPA’s Adoption Director

Cagney’s work with our Alumni team is essential to helping our fosters succeed and the animals we work with find a forever home.

What is your current role?

Alumni Inbox Coordinator

How did you get involved with volunteering at DPA?

I attended a couple of Memorial Day pub crawls hosted by DPA and became interested in becoming a volunteer after speaking with several of the volunteers and foster parents at the event.

What are you most passionate about at DPA?

Seeing dogs and cats get a new chance with a loving family. I’m passionate about saving dogs from the shelters and streets and giving them a second chance at life.

What are some words of wisdom to new DPA Volunteers?

Take time to appreciate the difference you are making in not only the pets’ lives but also the adopters.
