DPA’s Cats of the Month – July: Meet LIP & FI

About Lip

Here is a tenacious young cat with a lot of love to give.  She may have been blown off course but she’s made it clear to everyone around her that she is weathering the storm just fine.  Meet Lip, a sleek, black-coated Domestic Short Hair Mix with emerald green eyes and a friendly disposition!

This little kitty  is a survivor of the Houston hurricane.  When the storm cut its path through the city,  Lip was left without a home or family and that’s when DPA stepped in.  She’s currently staying with a great DPA foster (and another cute, young cat named Fiona) while patiently waiting for a permanent home.

This cutie loves to play and craves lots of affection and attention.  She likes to be petted and scratched and wants nothing more than to be in a family where she can play and find a cozy place to curl up and sleep.  Lip likes other cats and can sometimes tolerate dogs. She loves kids and would do best in a home with some young people to play with her and give her lots of love.

She’s litter box-trained, healthy and is described by her foster mom as a very smart cat.  We think she weathered the storm to be some fortunate family’s special companion! Do you think the winds of fate could be bringing Fiona to your doorstep?  Apply to adopt her today! Now through July 31 her adoption fee is 50% off.

About Fi

Described as a beautiful, young cat who loves kids and likes to play, this charming little Domestic Short Hair Mix feline has pretty Tabby markings, a long tail and yellow eyes the color of summer Goldenrod.  Meet Fiona, a tenacious Houston hurricane survivor who has weathered some tough times and wants to find a forever home of her own!

Fiona was without a home and family after the Houston storm, but fortunately she blew into the arms of some caring people at Dallas Pets Alive and is currently being fostered with us.  This healthy kitty just wants to play, hide under rugs, climb her cat tree, get some loving attention and put down some roots. She’s a little scared at times but likes people, especially kids.

Fiona is litter box trained and is good with other cats but shies away from dogs. She’s currently in the same foster home as Lip, our other July cat of the month, and we would love to see them adopted together–if at all possible.  If you have room for one or two special cats who have proven they are hearty enough to survive a hurricane and the rough winds of change, apply to adopt her today!  Now through July 31 her adoption fee is 50% off.
