Back in Black is a month-long adoption special dedicated to increasing awareness and adoptions of black pets – companion animals who are adopted less frequently than others simply because of their color.
We agree! It’s a ridiculous phenomenon, but it’s real.
Dallas Pets Alive is among more than 160 organizations in the Best Friends No More Homeless Pets Network who will be participating in this year’s Back in Black adoption promotion.
More than 3,400 black dogs and cats nationwide were adopted during last year’s Back in Black adoption special, and this year we want to find homes for the black pups in our care!
