Julius is a handsome, independent kitty who’s looking for a quiet, stable home where he can continue to thrive at his own pace. He was a community cat whose health began to decline during a particularly challenging summer heatwave. After being cared for at the shelter, he joined our foster home, where we’ve been working hard to help him adjust to life indoors. Now, after over a year of patience and progress, Julius is ready to find his forever family.
Julius is a cat who appreciates peace and quiet. He enjoys the company of other cats and would do best in a home with an existing feline companion. He’s not a lap cat and isn’t looking for human affection, but he tolerates being pet while receiving food and treats. He also loves bird-watching from inside the house and enjoys playing with cat toys. He would thrive in a calm, low-stress environment where he can feel safe and in control of his space. His ideal adopter will understand that Julius’ relationship with humans will take time and should be prepared to give him the space he needs. We have hired a cat behaviorist to help make his transition as easy as possible.
Would you be the perfect match for Julius? If you’re an experienced cat owner with a calm and understanding nature, Julius could be the perfect addition to your home. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and will definitely keep your current pets active and content. He’s made amazing progress in foster care and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with you!
