Since its debut last year, the Adoption Container has been buzzing with activity, reshaping animal welfare, and creating happy tails. In fact, we had 439 adoptions in 2022 and 506 adoptions in 2023.
That’s a staggering 15% increase!
But this space isn’t just a venue for events and meet-and-greets with potential adopters; it also houses our office, shop, and ingenious pet-matching technology. The Container’s prime location in Dallas, shared with our partners at Community Beer Co., has significantly increased our visibility and allows us to advance our no-kill mission — making it an essential part of DPA!
Event & Pet Spotlight
Cici, an adorable 10-month-old Heeler/Cattle Dog mix with a vibrant personality, recently participated in our most heartwarming event at the Adoption Container, Kids Reading to Foster Pets. Affectionately known as Tales to Tails by our staff, this monthly event provides young readers the opportunity to read their favorite stories to our foster dogs, offering valuable socialization for the pups and helping children develop their reading skills.

Adoption Spotlight
Mabel is a super loyal, toy-driven dog who loves to cuddle and gets along great with other dogs. She’s even the staff helper, meaning she helps the staff find out if other dogs are friendly! Mabel has been waiting since September and just needs a bit of help with leash manners. In return, this young lady will give you endless love and affection. Adopt Mabel!
Sweetie, a doting mama found with her kittens, is ready for her forever home. She loves being the only kitty, looking out the window, and napping. She’s a bit shy at first but warms up with patience and a gentle brush, rewarding you with sweet purrs. Litterbox trained, she prefers dry food and feather toys. Her tiny meow will melt your heart!
