Ricky II

Age: Adult
Breed: Terrier, Pit Bull
Gender: Male

Meet Ricky II!

If walking is part of your daily routine, Ricky would be perfect by your side. This three-year-old brindle loves when his leash gets clicked on and he can stretch his legs with his human. Twice a day is ideal, but if he can coax anyone into a third walk, it brings him a world of happiness.

He’s content to relax at home between outings. Toys are okay, but his moderate energy also allows for downtime inside after he stroll outdoors. Ricky needs slow introductions to new dogs and humans. He’s done well with a female Pitbull so he will probably do well with other females that enjoy his rough and enthusiastic playing. Ricky has been in training to work on his reactivity so he would do best with an adopter who can continue to help him work on his fear. Ricky is a smart boy and loves treats – really any food – so we’re confident that he can learn the skills necessary to be a good friend to other dogs with a little motivation.

Best of all, Ricky is a cuddle pup. He prefers human affection as often as it is available, even if it’s just an affectionate scratch on his bum. Whether curling up next to you on the couch, or spending time in the room while you work, he’ll be your companion, especially if there is a walk together at the end of the day.
