Meet the Lovable Yael (We say HIGH-EL). She is a mature husky mix, with a calm and gentle demeanor. Named after the biblical heroine Yael, who bravely defeated Sisera. We adopted Yael from a local shelter, where she was waiting for a forever home to shower her with love and attention.
Yael is a laid-back pup who loves to lounge around the house, but she’s also happy to go on a 3-mile jog (when the weather is below 90) with her favorite humans. She’s a total cuddlebug and can’t get enough belly scratches – she’ll even grab your hand to keep the scratches coming! Yael is very quiet and doesn’t bark much, making her a great companion for apartment living or homes with noise restrictions.
When she’s not snuggling on the couch, Yael loves to play with her squeaky balls. She’ll nudge them around, throw them in the air, and chase after them for an hour or two. She’s a smart pup who performs lots of tricks, including sit, lay down, roll over, and shake.
Yael gets along great with other large dogs and is crate trained, but she definitely prefers the comfort of her humans’ company and thrives as the center of attention, making her best suited for a household with no small children and ideally, a remote worker with an active lifestyle who can shower her with love and attention. An ideal home for Yael would be one with a comfy couch, plenty of squeaky toys, and humans who can give her all the belly scratches she deserves.
