Social skills: Good with dogs, Good with kids
Comments:
Training Skills: Leash trained, Crate trained, Potty trained/litter box trained
History and background: Squiggy was brought in as a stray to DAS where he was for few weeks before we picked him. He was kenneled with another dog (female) and has good playgroup notes.
Activity level: High Energy – requires lots of stimulation and play time
Comments: Squiggy loves to stay busy! He loves going on walks, following you around everywhere you go and chew toys. He also loves doing zoomies around the backyard as well as the living room!
Play behavior: Squiggy will go thought heartworm treatment in 3 weeks so we will keep him separated from our resident dog until after treatment. This is only because we want to keep him calm during treatment and it will be easier if we keep them separate for now.
Love language: Your Shadow *Does not leave your side
Favorite treats and toys: Squiggy loves chew sticks (benebone) and loves to unstuff stuffed animals. He doesn’t like toys the have squeakers or make crinkle noises.
Routine and ideal home: A active person or family to keep him entertained and engaged. Lots of walks or a big backyard to run around in. Someone who has patience to work with him on having better manners & getting him settled into a schedule.
Best characteristics: Squiggy is really good on the leash. He doesn’t react to other dogs when passing – although he may pull a little to say hi! He’s always looking for something to do so he really keeps me on my toes! Squiggy is good in his crate but expects a treat every time to go in. He’s such a sweet boy!
Descriptive adjectives: Silly, energetic and sweet
Additional info: I have a pet that would be a good transport candidate (easily handled by strangers, no crate anxiety issues, etc.)
