🐾 Meet Smokey! 🐾
This sweet, 2-year-old lap cat is the ultimate cuddle bug. Smokey will constantly remind you how much he loves you. Within 30 minutes of coming home he was already curling up in my lap and asking for head scritches. He loves giving hugs and kisses by standing on your lap, putting his paws on your shoulders, and rubbing his face on your face. He even seems to enjoy tummy rubs and being picked up. He’s very friendly and never wants to leave your side. He might even sleep on you at night!
Smokey found himself at the shelter with painful gum inflammation and gingivitis. In the brief time he was there, the shelter staff noted he was extremely sweet, gentle, and cuddly. Thankfully, he’s now with Dallas Pets Alive getting the care he needs and the second chance he deserves!
Smokey was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful condition that causes severe inflammation of the mouth. The recommended treatment for stomatitis is extracting some or all of the teeth. His condition may require special care like regular teeth cleanings to keep it from getting worse. He promises to make it worth your while though by showing you every day how much he loves you!
