Meet the cuddly Luna! She’s about a year and 4 months old, weighs 28 pounds, and is an Australian mix. We don’t know exactly what type of breeds she is mixed with, but she is medium sized and very fluffy with pointy ears. My wife and I got her in December from DAS and it’s definitely been a journey exploring who she is.
Luna is a social pup who goes between energetic/social and lazy. She gets along with other dogs and babies (we’re unsure if she gets along with cats) and currently lives with my infant son, our other adopted dog, my wife and I. Luna loves to run with her adopted sister from our bedroom to the living room and back. Whenever we put our son down for a nap, she lays down right next to the bed or couch and takes a nap too. She is a bit anxious/nervous about grooming activities, but won’t try to fight it. An ideal home for Luna is one where they can go for walks/jogs/runs often and where she can cuddle for hours and hours. Whenever she wants to be alone, she simply just trots back to her cage.
Luna is crate trained, leash trained, house trained and is currently working on what “sit” means. She is very food motivated, and will do her default “spin” if she has no idea what to do for the treat. She absolutely loves bones with peels on them and is determined on making them sparkle clean. She will sometimes avoid dog food, but absolutely demolish grass patches for some reason. When at the dog park, she will almost always go up to random people and lay on her back to say “I’ve arrived! Pet my belly!” She has a habit of licking hands and seemingly does it to get more pets and belly rubs.
