Meet Lucky VI! This sweet puppy is about nine months old and around sixty pounds. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s potty-trained and crate-trained. He’s ready to be adopted!
Lucky was picked up as a starving three-month-old stray by an unhoused family who love animals. They wanted to help him, but they weren’t in a position to do so. They contacted his current foster family, and they took him in. Fortunately, despite Lucky’s time on the streets, he was healthy, other than being too skinny and having a few easily treated parasites. He was just happy to have some humans to love on him! He’s very eager to please his people, which makes him easy to train, too.
Lucky is very sweet and friendly, though he’s also a little bit timid, especially around new people. He doesn’t show any fear aggression at all; he simply cowers a little until he knows the new human is safe. He loves belly rubs. At night, he is a super snuggler. He wants to be right on top of his humans.
He’s amazing with other dogs, and he’s best friends with his three young canine foster siblings. The four dogs run around to play chasey-chasey and to wrestle all day long. He tends to be the submissive dog at all times, and that’s okay with him. He is always happy to be the omega pup, just as long as he still gets to hang out with the pack!
This dog also does really well with cats. He’s grown up in a home that fosters cats and kittens as well, so he’s been around a giant clowder of cats for most of his life. He mostly ignores them. He mostly ignores the mixed flock of various fowl that live outside at his foster home, too.
If you are looking for a sweet, friendly pup who already knows some basic training and who will happily submit to your more dominant dogs, Lucky is absolutely the little boy for you! He will make his future forever humans the luckiest people on the planet.
