Fin is an adorably handsome little boy who loves to show affection once he gets to know you. At around 1.5 years old, he’s a Black Mouth Cur weighing 47 lbs, though he still needs to gain a bit more weight. Fin truly believes he’s a lap dog, and his sweet nature will melt your heart.
Fin was found in very poor condition outside a neighbor’s home—skin and bones, terrified of the world. Since then, he’s made incredible progress. He’s been neutered, is up-to-date on his shots (as of November), and is now microchipped for added safety.
Active and playful, Fin loves staying busy. His favorite hobbies include exploring his surroundings, going on walks, and playing with toys. He’s also the perfect fitness buddy—always up for an active day. Afterward, he settles down nicely and enjoys snuggling up on a comfy bed next to you. He’s great with other dogs, playful, and loves to say hello. While we haven’t observed him around children or cats, we recommend supervision with small children to ensure respectful interactions.
Fin is still building his self-confidence and will benefit from further training. However, he’s eager to learn, and we’re excited to discuss the tools and strategies that will help him thrive. He’s a cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and will quickly show you his tummy for attention.
While Fin would do well with a yard to explore, he’ll be happy as long as he gets the love and daily exercise he needs. He’s housebroken, leash-trained, and currently working on crate training. Fin knows how to sit, but he’s still learning other commands. The best part is that he’s a clean slate, ready to absorb new lessons with enthusiasm.
The only reason Fin is being rehomed is due to my living situation with my roommates. When I found Fin, I made a commitment to help him find his forever home, and that’s why he’s being rehomed—through no fault of his own.
If you’re ready for a lovable, cuddly best friend who’s eager to trust again, apply to adopt Fin today! He’s waiting for someone to give him the forever home he deserves.
