When Dusty first enters a new home, he likes to take a little “welcome break” to check things out and decompress. Give him that space, and by the next morning you’ll have a happy, relaxed buddy ready to join in on the fun.
This boy has a wonderful mix of playful energy and calm companionship. He LOVES toys, water, and car rides, and he’s a pro at settling down after a good play session. He’s also great out in public (especially in quieter spaces) and gets along beautifully with other dogs—even if they’re a little grumpy with him, he’s the gentleman who just walks away.
Dusty is crate-friendly, house-manners are coming along, and he’s content to hang out on his own if you have to step out. He’s not much of a barker—he only barked once all weekend!

All HSDC adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
