Meet Ghost! She is a friendly longhaired tortoiseshell that gets along with everyone she’s ever met. She’s pretty young, only 2 years old, and weighs 11lbs. She loves to cuddle and make biscuits on your legs or the couch next to you. Although she’s never been around dogs or young kids, she does great around other cats and has even befriended my pet rabbit. Her medical and vaccine records are all recently up to date, and other than being a little chubby, she is completely healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, and has a recent rabies tag. She will require regular brushing since she’s a longhair, but she seems to enjoy being pampered!
Because of Ghosts sociability, she does tend to get stressed when left alone for too long. Although she is litter box trained, I have experienced issues with her urinating outside her litter box when my schedule is very busy. However, it seems to go away when her environment is clean and she gets plenty of attention. I am a college student that also works full time, which is why I believe it would be best to find her a home that can meet her social needs. I can’t say for sure that she will do well with dogs and small children, but I can imagine that as long as they are gentle and respectful of her boundaries she will get along great with them.
In my opinion, the ideal home for Ghost would be one where she can be with someone, human or animal, nearly 24/7. I think she would thrive in a home with school aged children and/or other cats where she could get plenty of love and socialization. As long as she gets played with, cuddled with, and cleaned up after she will be a very happy and loving companion.
