Monk is a dapper 4-year-old tuxedo cat with sleek black-and-white fur, adorable white paws, and the softest, sweetest meow you’ve ever heard. Weighing in at 9.6 pounds, he’s small but full of personality! His exceptionally vocal purr lets you know when he’s happy, and there’s nothing he loves more than feeling playful and comfortable in a cozy home. Monk is neutered, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on all vaccinations. He came from another loving home but now finds himself in need of a fresh start, through no fault of his own. He is a wonderful little guy and anyone would be lucky to have him.
Monk is a curious and affectionate cat with a playful streak. He loves anything stringy, whether it’s a wand toy, a shoelace, or even a loose thread—if it dangles, he’s interested! He enjoys chasing toys, exploring new spaces, and basking in warm, sunny spots. He gets along well with other cats and would love a playmate, though his current feline companion isn’t interested in engaging (hence the need to rehome him). While he hasn’t been tested with dogs (that we know of), a patient introduction will assuredly help him adjust to a friendly pup. Monk will do best in a home with people who are also ready to engage in plenty of playtime. While being held and sitting on your lap or chest isn’t Monk’s favorite, he always loves to be near you.
Other fun facts about Monk: he is okay with having his nails cut, and he doesn’t scratch furniture! Monk is fully litterbox-trained and happily uses automated systems, including a self-cleaning litter box—as long as it’s his own! He’s an intelligent and adaptable cat, always knowing what time his food will dispense, and he thrives on being a part of the home. Whether he’s curling up on his favorite chair for a nap or letting out his soft little meow to get your attention, Monk is sure to win your heart.
