Do you love food, running water, and taking long naps in the sun? If yes, then you might be a great match for Morty! Weighing in around 14lbs and 7 years old, Morty is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and litter box trained for your enjoyment! Morty does have a sensitive stomach, so he asks that you keep his diet the same. Morty is fairly independent, and enjoys having his own space – he is the type of cat who likes to be pet on his schedule (which he will! and might nap on your feet or stomach).
In his free time, Morty loves to climb and run around on occasion (he especially loves tall cat trees and horizontal cardboard cat scratchers!). He also enjoys some nice catnip toys and would like a cat water fountain for Christmas (or your faucet if you allow). As a kitten, Morty was found in a storm drain outside a Whole Foods in Dallas, and spent his first year around other cats, a small dog, and near some chickens! He got his name from the show Rick & Morty, since he was always wide-eyed and curious.
Morty is being rehomed due to no fault of his own as his family deals with personal changes.
Morty is bonded with his adorable, younger step-sister Nairobi. Keeping them together is important, as they make the adjustment to a new home they can easily comfort each other and keep each other entertained. Check out Nairobi’s profile for more info on her!
