Kolache (K): Absolutely! *eyes ball a short distance away*
I: Let’s start with some basics for the folks at home, could you introduce yourself?
K: My name…is Kolache…and I…am…a…kitten. *speaking softly while slowly stalking toward the ball*
I: Um. Great! Well, Kolache…May I ask what you’re doing?
K: I’m…stalking. *speaking softly while continuing to approach the ball*
I: Of course. Is this something you do often?
K: Yes…*speaking softly while doing the cat butt-wiggle* and then…I will… POUNCE! *pounces on the ball* Hahahahaha!
I: *slightly startled* Oh! That was a wonderful pounce. Is pouncing the goal?
K: Playing is the goal. I love to play! *bats the ball* I love to stalk, pounce, and chase balls around! It’s great fun! Do you like to chase balls? *bats and chases the ball*
I: Sometimes. I actually really like a good book.
K: *stops and looks dreamy* Oh I love it when people read books! Especially in the evening when I can curl up in their laps and get close enough to give face rubs and get smooches. It’s so nice!
I: Is that the kind of family you want? One that reads?
K: One that reads, or watches TV, and plays with me. Maybe one with another cat! I’ve heard about something called a ‘dog’, but I’ve never seen one. Did I tell you I broke my leg once? Anyway! Lots of smooches and balls to play with. That’s the type of family I want. *romps after the ball* I’m going to go play now!
