Meet the handsome, loveable Casey!! He is a 7 year old, 70 lb. German Shephard, with a fun and smart personality. His owner adopted Casey from a family of four that was moving to a small apartment and Casey needed more space. They said he had been trained as a military service dog, but didn’t pass the bomb-sniffing part. He still had the collar on.
Casey is a sweet energetic pup who loves to play ball, go for walks, run, and go for car rides. He is great with children. He gets along with dogs and currently lives with two other large dogs (females). Casey likes to cuddle up with his/her humans on the sofa or next to their bed. He loves to be brushed. An ideal home for Casey would be one with lots of love, room to run in a fenced yard, able to sleep indoors often, another dog to play with, where there are children, walks, and playtime.
Casey is leash- and house-trained and knows how to sit and lay down. He is one smart pup! He works well with treats and bones.
Casey’s behavior is loving and playful. But he would do better in an environment that doesn’t have chickens or cattle. Farming is not his thing.
Casey is in need of a furever home because the owner had a stroke with short-term memory and balance issues that keep her from caring for him as he deserves.
