Meet Tortellini! She’s an adorable, affectionate five-year-old cat who enjoys belly rubs (yes, really!) and getting pets from her people…preferably all day long. She ended up at DPA! after her family could no longer take care of her (she’s FIV+), so now she’s in a loving foster home getting lots of love.
Tortellini knows to use the litter box and scratching post, and she gets along well with other cats and dogs. She’s a pretty mellow cat and she really enjoys staring out the window at the chickens roaming around outside. This snuggly girl is also good about giving other animals their space and making sure they know she’s a friend!
The ideal home for Tortellini is one who understands her condition. She’d also love a family that already has other another cat to show her around. Could that family be yours? Send a note to adopt@dallaspetsalive.org to schedule a time to meet Tortellini!
Tortellini is FIV+. This is an immunodeficiency disease in cats. Cats that are FIV+ generally live a long, healthy life. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds and sex, so it is unlikely for FIV to be spread to other cats. Any health concerns that may arise due to the FIV+ status must be treated by the adopter, at the adopter’s expense.
All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption.
