Meet Penne!

Thanks for stopping by my profile! My name is Penne and I am a six year old big-eared German shepherd mix. I have unfortunately been in and out of shelters for a lot of my life but I am bouncing back in a loving foster home. Being a mix means I am the best of both worlds! I have a German Shepherd brain and my foster mom says teaching me new tricks is one of the highlights of her day. I also have a big breed energy level so I can entertain myself with toys, go for a nice walk and be pretty fulfilled!

Sadly, I am a bit of an anxious lady (I am sure millennials can relate!). I take time to come out of my shell but once I know I am safe with you, I want nothing more than to be right by your side. Probably due to my past experience, my anxiety primarily manifests as guarding my food and water from other pets. Unfortunately, this means I need to fly solo. I understand that is why I have been waiting so long for a forever home but please don’t let that pass quick judgements. I am STELLAR on the leash, excellent in public and would love to come with you on even the most mundane of errands. I have many skills including “touch, “sit, “shake, “down” and am learning so many more. I would love someone dedicated to giving me a second chance and who would show me the joys of a stable home. Could that be you??
