Lena (New Digs)

Age: Young
Breed: German Shepherd Dog
Gender: Female

Meet Lena (New Digs)!

Check out this sweetheart, Lena! She is a 1-year 8mo, 80 lb, full German Shepherd with a gentle and discerning demeanor. We received her from a family member when she was 10 weeks old. One of her parents is AKC registered, the other is full GSD but not registered. We have been her only home.

Lena is a gentle giant. She is kind and a bit timid and slow to warm up to strangers. Once she has gotten to know you, she will not leave your side. She is extremely smart, and longs to have a job and to please her people. She would love to be a lap dog! She gets along with dogs, and currently lives with 3 Beagles. She is not looking to lead the pack, and is submissive and playful with the other dogs. We do not know how she would act with cats.

Lena loves her human brother too; he is 7 and she follows him around and is patient with him. Sometimes she sleeps with him, she loves this! She loves to cuddle and be close to her humans. She would love to go anywhere and everywhere her humans go. She would do well with additional socialization to be more confident with strangers. An ideal home for Lena would be one with people who know and understand the needs and rigors of owning a German Shepherd.

Lena is microchipped, crate and house trained, up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention and flea and tick treatment. She knows sit and is working on stay. She could use more leash work but is eager to please and picks up on commands quickly. She is learning to smile with nose scratches. She is one smart pup!

This people-pleasing pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Lena today!
