Meet Garth III!

Garth, or ultimate lovebug as he is sometimes known, enjoys the company of other dogs, from little to large. He’s a senior, and wise enough to know he enjoys treats and toys, but only when he wants them. But if you’re trying to find ways to train him, it may not be necessary. He’s housebroken and good on his leash, although if given the option, shorter walks are preferred.
With a bit of a mysterious past, Garth is recovering from life as a stray. As a result, he’s healing nicely from a skin condition and allergies, but needs a little ongoing TLC for his eyes and ears. He’s lacking a full smile, but he still knows what makes him happy: affection. That’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy a little quiet time, but don’t be surprised if he finds his quiet time at the other end of the couch.

Garth can feel a bit uneasy, especially when a loud noise startles him, but as long as he has a soft spot inside his crate to curl up, he’ll wander back out when his uneasiness passes. He’s a homebody but he can travel. He prefers a good movie to a long hike. Mostly he’ll thrive in a kind home with a furry friend who is more his speed. He’s personable, gets along with a variety of people, and needs to spend the rest of his life well cared for and well loved.
