Fig Newton is not only America’s favorite snack… but your newest favorite pup! Newt, Newty, Fig, Figgy… he has allllll the nicknames, and he is truly a bouncy, chewy puppy at heart. He was originally a stray from Garland and luckily was rescued by DPA with days to spare.
Now that he is living his best life out of the shelter, he enjoys running around, playing, and napping. His tail is his third favorite toy. He winds up chasing it in one direction and then unwinds chasing it the other way. Newt will never let you go a day…or even an hour, without laughing!
This smart cookie might be a goof-ball, but he also has some #skills. He does well on leash and in the car, he is crate trained and potty trained. He also can do a handful of commands. He is super treat motivated and would love to learn more with you!
You might be confused when looking at Newt… like “why do you look like a Rottweiler, but have the height of a Dachshund?” Well Newty might be a “rottie mix”, but this boy is a low-rider at only 30-ish pounds!! He sure can keep up with the big dogs though and doesn’t let his petite size stop him from having fun with pups of all ages and sizes.
If you want a fun-loving, sweet buddy to bounce into your life, Fig Newton is the pupper for you!
